Constructed of heavy oak timber, the jail contained two 8&#215;8 jails. <\/p>\n<p>A new Moore County Jail was completed in 1990, and upon its opening, the old Jail transitioned into a Museum which showcases historical clothing, artifacts, and actual jail cells the inmates occupied.<\/p>\n<p>The Old Jail Museum is open from Noon to 3pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday. It&#8217;s closed most Holidays and is Handicap  accessible.<\/p>\n<p>Admission is $1 for Adults &#8211; Children under 16 are Free. Group rates are available.<\/p>\n<p>The Moore County Historical Society operates the Old Jail, and they can be contacted for further information.
